I am celebrating all kinds of Independence today! Of course, the traditional and patriotic 4th of July celebration, but I'm also very happy to be celebrating freedom from summer school!!! YIPPEE!!!
I started my celebration Wednesday at 'Bunco'. I use the term bunco very lightly because we have now met three times and have yet to actually play bunco. Sorry ladies, don't let your husbands read! We've tried to enthusiastically yell BUNCO anytime a husband walks into the room, but their not easily tricked :) I do have to say that I hope we do play sometime, but I really enjoy the great food, wine and fellowship. We have so much fun!
Yesterday I went with Mindy and Cash to Kingwood to go swimming at her parents house. Mindy's dad was home and cooked out burgers for us. (Thanks, Merle!) My mom even came over and hung out for a while. We had a great day. Cash is getting so big. I just can't believe he's almost 2 years old. So sweet! I think it's time for Mindy to have a friend for him, but she refuses. She says it's MY turn to have a friend for him...Soon enough, my friend.
After a fun day of swimming (and getting more sunburned than I realized!) I went to get my hair cut! I'm so excited to have it done. I love my hairstylist, Ally. She's so fun, and I always love my hair.
Tomorrow, I'm taking our good friends Brad, Leah & Will to the airport for their trip to Colorado and then off to Kingwood to see Rachel, Harry & AnnMarie!!! Seriously, SO excited. Rachel had AnnMarie in April, and since they live in Little Rock and we haven't been able to get up there yet, this will be our first time to meet. I will have lots of pictures to post after tomorrow (of AnnMarie and my new hair!)
For now, Lance and I are planning a laid back 4th of July. We usually have friends out to watch the fireworks, but didn't get it together this year. Maybe next year.
