Bentley

For those of you who don't know the story of Bentley...Our good friend Mike picked him up from the side of the road back in November. He watched as someone opened the door and dropped him off on the side of a very busy street in Houston. Mike, being the softy that he is, turned his big Matco truck around and picked him up. He rode in the passenger seat for the rest of the day. Mike called Lance and told him about the dog because he looked like a beagle. We went over that weekend to 'look' at the dog and fell in love. Well, I fell in love...Lance caved! He was so sweet and mild mannered...until we got him home. Since bringing him home he has been on top of my brand new kitchen table, in the kitchen sink, he's eaten my plants, my shoelaces and every bed/blanket he sleeps on. He has also dug out of our backyard at each fence line trying to explore the neighborhood. He has gotten a lot better and is actually very sweet. He is still growing out of the puppy phase and we're hoping he will grow quickly. All of this background to say there is never a dull moment with Bentley. You never know what he's going to get into.

Well, right now Lance and I are sitting in the living room debating on whether to go get ice cream (Lance says he'll go if I pay...hummm...Do I want it that bad?) and he looks over at Bentley and says, "Bentley, Stop licking the baseboards!" What a weird dog. We think he likes the taste of the paint.
