Blast from the Past!

Mindy and I had a little girls day at Splashtown today! Yes, SPLASHTOWN! It was so much fun. I'm so glad Mindy wanted to go. We met in Conroe and drove down to Spring. We stopped and got breakfast and then got to the park when it opened. We were able to ride all of the rides we wanted with very minimal lines before it got busy. Then we ate lunch and floated in the lazy river and wave pool for a while before we decided it was getting crowded enough and left :) It was a great day! The last time I went to splashtown I was probably the age of the students I teach. I was praying that I would not run into any of them as I ran around like a little kid all afternoon. I didn't. :)

I also found out tonight that our school earned an exemplary rating from the state for last years performance! For those of you that don't know, this is a HUGE deal. I am super excited. We have worked so hard and it's nice to see it pay off. We have missed being exemplary (and have been recognized) for the past couple of years by a very narrow margin.

An update on Granny: She and Grandad will be coming to Houston next week for a meeting with doctors at MD Anderson. We are very happy that they have decided to come down here. I don't know what the course of treatment will be, but will know more next week. In the mean time, I really appreciate your prayers for she and Grandad as they travel and prepare to be here with my parents for a little while. I'll keep you posted.
