I would like to put out a couple prayer requests. Back in May, I told you about two walks that I participated in. One was the Relay for Life that I walked in in honor of my friend Erin Scott who is fighting stage four colon cancer. She is doing well. She's taking everything in stride and riding out the bad days to get to the good days. Her cancer has not spread, but hasn't shrunk either. Please keep her and her family in your prayers. She has two young children and a husband at home who want her to feel better soon.
The other walk was the March of Dimes. I walked in honor of my friends, Kevin and Michelle and their baby girl Addison. Addison was born with Trisomy 18 and from the very beginning they were unsure of how long she would live. They were able to take her home and enjoy almost five months with this sweet little angle. On Friday she went to heaven. She was such a blessing to Kevin and Michelle and all of those who got to meet her. Her celebration service (don't you love that name!?) is going to be this Wednesday. I just ask for you all to lift up this sweet family in your prayers. They have such faith and peace knowing that Addison is with her savior, but we all know it will be so hard.
Lastly, I want to ask you all to pray for my Granny. I don't know any details yet (I'm waiting for my mom to call me right now.) but she had several places checked for skin cancer and they all came back positive. My mom is in Burkburnett with Granny and Grandad now. Please pray for wisdom and peace for the doctors, Granny, Grandad and my mom.
** Update: Granny's cancer is confined to just her forehead. We're very thankful that it's just in this one location, but it's a very large part of her forehead. My mom says they are going to have to remove the area which is about 2/3 of her forehead. I don't know many details at this point. They are getting 2nd and 3rd opinions before they make a final decision on when and where (we want them to come to Houston!) to do the surgery. We'll see. The cancer is a carcinoma which is good. This means it's confined, but still serious. Thank you for praying! I'm sure they're will be more updates to come as decisions are made etc.

I took your lead with this "prayer request" post and made one myself for my boss. I will keep your friends in my prayers. Kudos for running in those races to help the causes. I had signed up to do one two years ago and then found out I was pregnant, so I had to bow out. I would like to try one again.
