Seuss Shower

I think the pictures can speak for themselves! The shower was amazing. Leslie, Ashley & Brittany did such a wonderful job. They worked so hard to make it an extra special day for me, and it truly was. I am so incredibly blessed to have these girls in my life. Throughout this entire pregnancy they have been such an amazing support for me. They have laughed and cried with me. They have encouraged me, been beyond excited for me, checked on me and have made this entire experience such a joy. I can't say enough to thank them for all they have done to support me from the minute I found out I was pregnant. What a joy to have true friends like them. And, on top of that, I get to work with some of the most genuine, caring, supportive people on the planet. People often think I'm crazy for driving from Montgomery to The Woodlands every day, and I tell them that I wouldn't have it any other way. These ladies (all of them!) that I have the privilege of working with, are the reason I love my job. Thank you for celebrating with me and helping us welcome Blake into the world. I can't wait for him to be here to meet you all!

32 weeks and 2 days!

Brooke & Yvonne

Susan, Me, Amy, Charissa & Kara

Lance's mom, aka Nana

Erin, Me & Emily

Opening presents. This is the pack n' play from my Granny. She and my Grandad made sure I had all of the things I needed to travel to their house :)

More gifts. When I told Lance that I want to put this puzzle together and hang it in Blake's room he said, "That's Blake's puzzle to put together!" I told him when he's old enough to put it together we'll take it off the wall for him! Ha!

Hayley & Kaylynn. How precious is this baby girl?! Maybe Blake will like older women? Kaylynn, what do you think?

Shea & Leslie

This is going to have to work as our bump picture since we never got around to taking another one. Bummer. Cheryl is having two new friends for Blake to play with! Yay!

Lance's sister, Aunt Sarah, his step-mom, Carol aka Ga-Ga

Three generations. Mom, Me, Granny. They're a little bit excited! I have a picture just like this that we took at Thanksgiving when there was hardly any bump to see. My, how things have changed!

Leslie, Me, Ashley & Brittany with her eyes closed/squinty. Sorry Britt! All of the outside are like this. Em, did you get a good one?

Me & Granny - She surprised me and came down for this shower! I thought she was coming to the next shower.

The girls had everyone 'Jot some advice for me and my little Who'. I love reading what everyone wrote.

The details. Hanging just inside the door: Dr. Seuss flashcards.

The entry table. The pictures all around Leslie's house are of me and ultrasound pictures of Blake. I'm planning to hang his name above his crib.

Again, details. Picture of Lance and I sitting on Dr. Seuss books.

The mantle. The super cool box in the middle was mine to take home! Thanks for painting it, Brad! You did a great job. Sorry you had to give it up. The adorable burp cloths that are hanging (and laying around in other pictures) were made by Ashley's grandmother. I got to bring all of them home for Blake!

More details...

How cute is this!!?? Check out the sand in the vase!

I'm planning to decorate Blake's room with books and blocks. Hence, the inspiration for the shower theme and decorations.

Yummy, yummy cupcakes (with little personalized Seuss sticks) and candy! If you look closely at the picture in the middle you'll see the picture of me, mom and Granny from Thanksgiving with them pointing at my tummy. :)

She's got her pick of the litter, that's for sure. I hope she doesn't let that go to her head one day!! :)
