This was a very busy week/weekend! We got home from our cruise on Sunday.
Monday, after driving to Huntsville to take Lance a part for his truck that broke, I met Leslie, Ashley and their boys at Pie in the Sky for lunch. It was so good to see them after being gone for a week. I felt like it had been longer! We met up around 2pm and didn't leave there until after 5pm! We just sat and talked all afternoon. It was wonderful!!
Wednesday morning my mom and I left my house early and went to San Marcos to go shopping for school clothes. We had such a fun day! We took clothes in case we wanted to spend the night, but decided we had seen everything we wanted to see so we came back to my house instead of paying for a hotel room. We thought it would be better to spend that money on more clothes!
We got up Thursday and headed to The Woodlands to shop for the day. Mom decided to head home and I went over the J.Crew and met Leslie and Brittany. Britt was working and Les was shopping. It was fun to see them and hang out for a while.
On Friday, Leslie, Brittany and I met at McCullough at 11am. We went with Leslie to drop off stuff at the babysitters house, went to lunch and then back to McC to get our room set up for our presentation this week. We left McC around 4:30 to go home and get ready for Erin & Billy's wedding. I got to the wedding just in time and got to see my sweet friend get married! Erin's wedding was BEAUTIFUL! It was so fun to see all of the girls and get to hang out.
Saturday was super busy! I drove over to Kingwood to Diana's to see some of the girls who were in town for our 10 year reunion. (I was bummed that I missed seeing friends, but didn't want to pay $70/person to go. Plus, with all of the other stuff going on, there was no way I could do it.) It was so nice to see some old friends and catch up. I didn't get to stay there long at all :( because I had to head back to go to our friends daughter's 1st birthday. After the birthday party, Lance and I headed over to Tomball to see his mom's new house and visit with his sister and brother-in-law who came in town for the day. It was nice to see Crystal and Kevin. We haven't seen them since their wedding in April. Finally, we headed home to relax a little.
Yesterday was full too! We went to early church and then came home and did chores. Lance mowed the yard and I went grocery shopping etc.
Now it's Monday and I am trying to savor my last week of summer vacation. I already have a busy week planned. Hanging out with Jenna & Ally and the kids tomorrow, presentation on Wednesday, Harper's birthday party on Friday and graduation on Saturday!
I can't believe the summer is almost over. It always go by so quickly. Honestly, I'm ready for school to start. By this point, I am ready to get back into a routine. I'm getting up early this week to get myself used to it again. I want to continue to run in the mornings, so we'll see how that goes. I know it will be hard for me to get out of bed, but I also know that I will feel so much better if I do. That's it for now. I better get busy on my to-do list. As my dad (and I think John Wayne) would say, "You're burnin' daylight."
