Monday I came down the stomach flu, and let me just tell you, it was terrible! Actually, I don't even think terrible does it justice. I will spare you all of the yucky details, but I have to say that I have never been more thankful for my sweet friends.
We were getting ready to leave school for the day, and I knew I wasn't feeling right. I told Leslie that I was going to go to the bathroom and to go ahead and go. Of course, Les says, "No, I'll just wait for you." Well, it became very obvious that I wasn't getting too far from the bathroom anytime soon so we set up camp in our LA lounge. At some point, Ashley came in on her way out and sat down to keep Leslie company while I was 'occupied'. After about two hours of being sick I was so dehydrated and weak that poor Leslie had to get one of our AP's to get a wheel chair to get me down the stairs and to the car. Ashely and Leslie were such troopers. Nothing brings people closer than holding your hair back! They stayed with me at the Minor Emergency Room while they pumped me back up with IV fluids. They even got me a sticker and sucker for the road :) I don't know what I would have done without them! Really...the were angels and definitely earned some extra jewels in their crown for taking such good care of me.
THEN, everyone was so sweet to email, text and call to check on me. I'm sorry that I wasn't able to call everyone back, but please know that I appreciated every one of you!
I really do have the best friends in the world. I have been so blessed to have some of the most amazing friends in the world. I feel so fortunate. Thank you, guys :) *Muah*
