4 months (almost!)

Blake,

I can't believe you are almost 4 months old. Time has flown by so fast. You continue to be such a sweet little man. We finally have your milk allergy under control with new formula and your reflux under control with good meds, so you are a much happier baby now than you were when we first brought you home. The only time you cry is when you're hungry or just trying to get our attention. You're very much like your parents: independent. You don't like to be held too long and love to be sitting (or standing) up so you can look around and see everything. I think you're afraid you might miss something if you are laying down or asleep. You're finally sleeping through the night! You seem to love your room. You love for someone to talk to you and you love to 'talk' back. I can't wait to hear your first words. You seem to have so much to say. I think one day your just going to surprise us with a full sentence. I've been practicing this one with you: "I love my momma the most." :) You've quite the party animal. We've been to several birthday parties over the last couple of months. You have loved meeting all of your friends and cousins. Car rides usually put you to sleep and you love going to school. You had your first trip to the ER this past weekend. You're perfectly fine, but you scared me to death. When I got you up from your nap you seemed to be having a hard time getting a good breath. You tried to cough and cry and could only get out little squeeks. Of course by the time we got to the ER you acted OK and everything checked out fine. We saw Dr. Edralin the next day and he said you just have a bad cold (lots of drainage) and the cold plus the reflux are just not a good combo. Even though you don't feel well, you're still smiley and happy. I love watching your little personality develop. I can't wait to see all of the wonderful things that God has in store for you. Your daddy and I love you so very much.
