Nursery!

Blake's room is coming together! I have to brag on Lance for a minute because he has been such a good sport. When I first mentioned the word paint he said no way! Since that first mention, I have also added crown molding and chair rail and he has taken it all in stride. He has worked so hard to get Blake's room ready for his arrival. I'm so proud of him. He did a great job, and I think he's pretty excited about how it's turned/turning out too. We still have a little ways to go (obviously!) but we're on our way. We picked out a white crib at Target and plan to paint a dresser (will be used as dresser/changing table) and chest of drawers that we already have to match and just get new knobs. Here are some before and after pictures:

This was before we cleaned anything out of this room. I had baby stuff all over the bed and the room was basically a catch all for everything. Just a few days before this picture was taken there was also a ton of Christmas stuff in here!

Another before picture.

Lance used these cool corner pieces to dress is up a little and to make it easier to put up all of the molding. This was the first step after cleaning out the room.

Lance taped off the wall for the chair rail and painted the squares of color options on the wall for me to see. We picked a color and Lance got to work!

This is Lance getting ready to roll the rest of the wall.

Our good friends, Brad and Leah, came over to watch the Super Bowl on Sunday. While they were here, we put Brad and their son, Will - the helper, to work hanging all of the molding! Thanks, Brad!
This is one picture of the finished product!

Here's another! The bed in the middle of the room makes the room look really small. It will look so much different as we get all of the furniture painted and back in the room. I'm really excited about the way it turned out. More pictures to come as we get more settled.

I adore the room. Already looks like the perfect place for a baby boy to sleep! I remember just sitting in Saige and Davin's rooms before they were born...it was so peaceful and exciting for me all at one time. I can't wait to see you again little mama!
