He comes home at the end of the day, and after putting his stuff down in the bedroom, comes into the kitchen where I am cooking dinner and asks me, "What's wrong with this outfit?"
I'm thinking, "Who knows?! Isn't it me that's supposed to be asking these questions?"
As I am scanning over his 'outfit' which is now: undershirt, khaki pants, shoes.... SHOES!!! I suddenly realize that Lance has on one brown shoe and one black shoe! I begin to laugh uncontrollably and ask him, "When did you realize you were wearing two different colored shoes?!"
He says it goes like this:
Hispanic customer to Lance: "Man, what time do you get up in the morning?"
Lance: "Early, Why?"
Hispanic customer: "You're wearing two different colored shoes!"
Lance said the funny thing is that it didn't even bother him all day and only a couple other guys noticed. I guess mechanics really aren't into fashion :) In Lance's defense, he has the exact same shoe (a Redback boot that he sells) in black and brown and the brown is very dark.
* On a more serious note, he has been feeling bad lately. Please keep him in your prayers. He's going this week to have an MRI to try to figure out why he's getting these dizzy spells. The ENT thinks it's an inner ear issue. We're just praying that it's something with an easy fix :) Dizziness and driving a tool truck don't really mesh.
