May began with the arrival of my first nephew, Cole Lanier. Lance's sister, Crystal, delivered this precious little angel a few weeks early on Cinco de Mayo :) Lance's mom called us that morning to say that Crystal might be in labor. She had been having some contractions and was headed to the hospital. Because she was so early, we all held tight and waited for an update thinking that it was probably just false labor. Well, no false labor here! Her water had broken and she was already several cm dialated. Terri & Jared got on the road to Austin immediately and Lance and I wrapped up a few things at home and then left. Luckily, my mom was here and was able to keep Blake on short notice so we could go meet our nephew. By the time we made it to Austin, Cole was here and Crystal and just gotten settled into a room. Randy & Carol were in Nebraska for Katelyn & Tom's college graduation, but Sarah and Luke met us at the hospital and we all got to "ooh" and "ahh" over Cole. He was a tiny little guy, weighing just over 4lbs, but was PERFECT! Crystal, Kevin & Cole got to go home after just a few days in the hospital.
