"Finally!"

I decided to title this post "Finally!" because that was the response from several of our friends when we told them the news....We're having a BABY!!! Yay!!! Just like those friends who thought (and said!) "it's about time!", I felt the same way. It has been such a joy getting to watch all of my best friends become some of the best mothers in the world. I have tried to soak up every minute of it, being beyond thrilled to be 'Aunt Jules', but now I'm beyond thrilled to be a mom myself and finally get to join the club. It all feels a bit surreal even still, but thanks to the excitement of my sweet friends and family I'm slowing realizing that I have a baby in there.

I will be 10 weeks tomorrow! I feel very lucky that I have been feeling great so far. I think that's why it was hard to believe I was actually pregnant. The first doctor's appointment was awesome! So cool to get to see the "little bean" for the first time. We were able to see and hear the heartbeat and the baby even moved for us. He/She did a little sit-up. It was SO cool! The doctor said everything looked great and said we were safe to share the news. This made me happy because I'm not good at keeping secrets about myself!

I have so many things that I want to post about, but I'll save them. Maybe I'll post another one tonight. Lance is at a meeting and it's either update the blog or vacuum my house. I really need to vacuum, but I'd rather blog about the baby :)
